Davenport – Lake Roosevelt wrestlers Rodger Cate and Landon Krohn both placed first at the Davenport Invitational Wrestling tournament, Dec. 3.

“The boys went and wrestled hard,” said coach Casey Brewster. “There are always things to improve on. We took seven wrestlers, and all placed. We need to continue to push ourselves, train hard. Rodger and Landon dominated their fields and we had great showings from the other five wrestlers.”

Junior Terek Bush placed second, Dakota Green placed third, Zach Elwell and Caleb Wallace placed fourth, Teyten Flores placed fifth.

“I did alright just got to work on some setups,” said Cate. “The team did good. They wrestled hard. They all put points on the board.”

The LRHS boys placed third behind Almira-Coulee-Hartline and Davenport.

This weekend the boys team will wrestle at the Liberty-Spangle High School tournament.
