The Lake Roosevelt Boys basketball team beat #1 ranked Liberty-Spangle, Dec. 3. The score of the game was 71-68.

When asked what they did well against Liberty, captain Chase Marchand said  “We looked for open guys, got steals, hit good shots, and pressured their best players.”

“Finding the open man for an open shot or good look,” said junior Brandon Pino.

We asked Tanner Kiser how he felt about their win and he said “ It was a hard fought win, we did a good job working as a team.”

The boys have been working hard to play as one team rather than just a bunch of 1 on 1 basketball.

“Work as a unit, play as a unit.” said Kiser.

This season for both the boys and girls team is about raising the bar as a team each game. Marchand said they can work on pushing the ball, not being selfish, and staying humble.” to help them raise the bar.

Ivan Alejandre was the lead scorer for the game with 27 points.

The Boys played Davenport on the 6th and lost 56-70.

They also played and beat ACH on the 10th with a score of 83-31.

Their next game is December 13th against Liberty Bell @7:30.
