A worried mother dialed 911 to report that her 14-year-old son had been attacked during a commotion at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park on Hale Road in Manchester. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, according to the police.
Six minors fled the scene before the police arrived.
Acting swiftly, the officers promptly located a vehicle in close proximity that corresponded to the descriptions provided by witnesses. Upon inspection, they found an adult driver accompanied by a group of juveniles inside. According to the police, a few of the passengers displayed uncooperative behavior, adamantly refusing to exit the vehicle.
Manchester police said they discovered a facsimile firearm in the vehicle, which had been altered to look like a real weapon by painting its orange safety tip black. Although they were unable to recover the reported firearm, investigators noted the presence of this modified imitation weapon.
Officers in the vicinity also found a bag that contained a significant knife and clothing that perfectly matched the description of a suspect.
Manchester police have reported the arrest of two juveniles, aged 14 and 15. These individuals are now facing serious charges, which include carrying a facsimile firearm, assault, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence. Following their arrest, both juveniles were taken into custody and placed in a juvenile detention center as per the order to detain.
The authorities have chosen to withhold the names of the individuals involved due to their young age.
